Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

by Ava Apr 06,2025

Following the buzz around their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has exciting news for fans of their critically acclaimed title, Disco Elysium. The studio has announced an official mobile version of the game, exclusively for Android devices. This move aims to introduce Disco Elysium to a broader audience while offering a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. The first two chapters will be available for free, with a one-time payment option to unlock the full, ad-free game.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase." The studio, now a blend of creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, is dedicated to delivering a high-quality mobile experience that reflects their serious approach to both roles.

Studio head Denis Havel shared an ambitious vision for the mobile version, targeting the TikTok audience. "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," Havel explained.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new, immersive 360-degree scenes designed to place players right in the heart of Revachol. The mobile version also features brand new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the character-rich experience.

The official description highlights this as a "total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium," tailored for today's mobile users. The game is optimized for short play sessions, making it perfect for diving into the story-rich adventure anytime, anywhere on mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed for engaging, short bursts of play. Disco Elysium is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that while the studio retains the ZA/UM name, many key contributors to the original Disco Elysium have since left. Numerous former ZA/UM members have departed the studio, with some now working on spiritual successors to the game.
