"Dreadmoor: PC Game Blends Fishing and Post-Apocalyptic Mystery"

by Christian Apr 17,2025

Developer Dream Dock has unveiled their latest project, *Dreadmoor*, a thrilling first-person single-player action-adventure game that draws inspiration from the 2023 hit *Dredge*. In *Dreadmoor*, players will take the helm of a fishing trawler to navigate the post-apocalyptic Drownlands. The game promises a mix of fishing, exploration, combat against monsters, crafting, and boat upgrades, all while unraveling the mysterious secrets of this submerged world. *Dreadmoor* is currently in development for PC, and you can get a glimpse of the game through the announcement trailer and the first set of screenshots featured in the gallery below.

Dream Dock provides a vivid description of *Dreadmoor*: "Step behind the helm of a fishing trawler and set sail into a world transformed by a global nuclear war. Continents have vanished beneath the waves, leaving behind a landscape of scattered islands and submerged ruins of ancient civilizations. In this challenging environment, you'll sell your catch to survivors, undertake quests to enhance your chances of survival, and keep a vigilant eye on your ship's cargo hold, where creatures might engage in deadly feasts. Upgrade your vessel and craft essential equipment to delve into the hidden depths and uncover secret locations. Be prepared to confront mutated creatures and unravel sinister mysteries lurking in the deep and within abandoned structures, particularly at night. Radiation poses an ever-present threat in this perilous world."

In *Dreadmoor*, players will encounter over 100 species of fish, with the most elusive and challenging catches requiring the most unusual bait, but offering the most substantial rewards. You'll need to scavenge for resources and explore both the surface and the underwater realms of the Drownlands. If *Dreadmoor* piques your interest, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.
