Fairy Tail Manga Has 3 Games Coming This Summer

Fairy Tail author Hiro Mashima and Kodansha Game Creators Lab have announced “FAIRY TAIL INDIE GAME GUILD,” a new gaming venture that will see the release of a couple of indie PC games based on the popular manga/anime franchise.

Fairy Tail Indie Games Announced for PCNew Games Dropping as Part of “Fairy Tail Indie Game Guild”

A lineup of games based on the widely popular Fairy Tail franchise is set to be released soon! Today, Kodansha Game Creators Lab announced its joint venture with Fairy Tail's author, Hiro Mashima, to release three games under the franchise's "Fairy Tail Indie Game Guild" project.

These three new titles will be released as Fairy Tail: Dungeons, Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc, and Fairy Tail: Birth of Magic—all developed by independent game developers and set to be released for PC soon. The first two games, Fairy Tail: Dungeons and Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc, will launch on August 26 and September 16, 2024, respectively. Meanwhile, Fairy Tail: Birth of Magic is currently in development, with more details to be revealed at a later date.

"This indie game project began when FAIRY TAIL author Hiro Mashima said he wanted to have a FAIRY TAIL game made," stated Kodansha in the announcement video posted today. "The creators are making these games starting with their love of FAIRY TAIL, as well as their own strengths and sensibilities. These will be games that both FAIRY TAIL fans and all gamers will enjoy."

Fairy Tail: Dungeons Releasing on Aug. 26, 2024

Fairy Tail: Dungeons is an upcoming deck-building roguelite adventure game. Players will follow the characters of the Fairy Tail series as they explore a dungeon using a limited number of moves and a strategically built deck of skill cards to defeat enemies and venture deeper into the dungeons.

The game is developed by ginolabo, and features a soundtrack produced by Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta. "The world of Fairy Tail comes alive through Celtic-inspired sounds that add a vibrant backdrop to the battles and story scenes."

Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc Releasing on Sept. 16, 2024

Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc is a sports action game featuring 2vs2 multiplayer beach volleyball battles. This game promises a competitive, chaotic, action-packed, and magic-loaded beach volleyball experience with characters from the franchise. Players can select 2 characters from among a roster of 32 (the 2 in 32) to form their very own beach volleyball team. The game is developed by tiny cactus studio, MASUDATARO, and veryOK.
