Marvel Rivals Unveils "The Maker," a New Mister Fantastic Skin

Get ready for a villainous twist! Marvel Rivals has just dropped a sneak peek of a brand-new skin for Mister Fantastic: The Maker. This sinister skin will debut alongside the hero himself on January 10th, kicking off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls.

The Maker skin depicts an alternate Reed Richards from the Ultimate universe – a villainous counterpart to the heroic Mister Fantastic. His appearance reflects a darker path, featuring a mask concealing most of his face, a consequence of a brutal clash with the Human Torch. This isn't the only dark transformation; Invisible Woman is also getting a villainous makeover with the Malice skin.

The official Marvel Rivals Twitter account showcased The Maker's sleek black and gray design, accented by a glowing blue circle on the chest and back. A slate-colored mask with a blue visor completes the menacing look. Gameplay footage highlights the suit's dynamic properties, stretching and morphing as Mister Fantastic unleashes his abilities.

Beyond The Maker: More Skins and Season 1 Content

While NetEase Games continues its steady stream of skin reveals, dataminers are uncovering even more unreleased cosmetics. A Lunar New Year skin for Spider-Man has surfaced, hinting at future releases. Cosmetics for Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange have also been discovered. While release dates remain unconfirmed, many fans anticipate seeing some of these skins in the Season 1 battle pass.

Season 1: Eternal Night Falls promises a major overhaul. A new game mode, Doom Match, will pit 8-12 players against each other in a free-for-all where the top 50% emerge victorious. Expect character balance adjustments, buffs, and nerfs as developers fine-tune the roster. A dark, ominous version of New York City also joins the game as a new map. The anticipation for Season 1 is palpable among the Marvel Rivals community.
