by Nicholas May 20,2025

Remedy Entertainment has officially set a release date of June 17, 2025, for their highly anticipated game, FBC: Firebreak. This new title is a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience deeply rooted in the universe of Control. Players can look forward to engaging in replayable missions, termed "Jobs," which offer diverse challenges, objectives, and environments that demand teamwork and adaptability.

FBC: Firebreak will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Excitingly, it will also be accessible on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium members. This marks Remedy's first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This premium version includes a variety of exclusive cosmetics and voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

The FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition includes:

  • "The Firestarter" Premium Voice Pack
  • "The Pencil Pusher" Premium Voice Pack
  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)
  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin
  • Golden Firebreak Spray
  • Classified Requisition: "Firestarter": A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

Here's the official description:

FBC: Firebreak introduces Requisitions, a system that rewards players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. Requisitions can include weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more - all unlockable using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; if an item is added in the game, it’s always available.

For those who want additional customization options, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items - such as armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. Classified Requisitions are purchased with real money. The items are purely cosmetic, have no gameplay impact, and will remain available permanently. Read more about how Requisitions work here.

Remedy has also confirmed its commitment to ongoing support post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025 and additional updates in 2026. All new content, including Jobs, will be free for all players. While players can opt to purchase cosmetic items, Remedy assures that these will not affect gameplay and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins.

This is an exciting period for Remedy, as the developer is juggling multiple projects alongside FBC: Firebreak, including Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation.
