Finn Jones Acknowledges Iron Fist Critiques, Seeks Redemption

Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his eagerness to return to the role, stating at LaConve in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, "I’m here and I’m ready."

Jones last donned the mantle of Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). Despite the lukewarm reception to his portrayal of Iron Fist, Jones remains hopeful and open to criticism.

The integration of Daredevil into the MCU has fueled optimism for a revival of The Defenders, with recent reports suggesting Marvel is "exploring" this possibility. At the convention, Jones addressed the fans' mixed feelings about his character, saying, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

With "Daredevil: Born Again" continuing the story from the Netflix series, the entire Defenders saga is now officially part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+. This includes the return of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, another character who originated on Netflix.
