The excitement surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) continues to build, with fans eagerly dissecting every detail of its second trailer. Rockstar Games announced via Twitter (X) on May 8 that this trailer was captured entirely using the PlayStation 5, showcasing the console's impressive capabilities.
Rockstar Games confirmed that the second trailer for GTA 6 was "captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, composed of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes." The high-quality visuals led some fans to question which segments were gameplay, as everything appeared seamless and cinematic. One fan noted that all cutscenes in Rockstar Games are run in-game, yet skepticism persists among some viewers who find it hard to believe the footage is entirely in-game.
Curiosity also surrounds whether the trailer utilized a standard PS5 or the rumored PS5 Pro, given the significant performance and graphical differences between the two. Rockstar has not clarified this yet, leaving fans to speculate.
The trailer is packed with details, some of which are easy to miss. One notable return is Phil Cassidy, a beloved character from previous GTA titles, now seen running an Ammu-Nation store. Fans have pointed out changes in his design, particularly his physique, sparking discussions about whether this is the same Phil they know.
Amidst the action, a PS5 console and controller make a brief appearance, subtly confirming the trailer's capture method.
Another exciting feature hinted at in the trailer is the potential return of the Gym System, first seen in GTA San Andreas. The protagonist, Jason Duval, is shown working out on a beach, suggesting players may once again have the opportunity to customize their character's physique.
The trailer also teases a variety of activities, including golf, fishing, scuba diving, hunting, basketball, kayaking, and fight clubs. While not officially confirmed, these scenes, captured in-game according to Rockstar, suggest a rich and diverse gameplay experience.
As fans continue to uncover more references and Easter eggs, anticipation for GTA 6 remains high, despite its recent delay. The game is now scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Stay tuned for more updates and insights in our upcoming articles!
