To initiate the "Canker" quest, you need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. This quest can be conveniently picked up during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where Gules can be found drinking beforehand. Alternatively, you can start it earlier by speaking to Gules while he's on patrol in Semine. Inquire about his past with a band of bandits and express your willingness to help him eliminate the remaining members. Canker, a former bandit, becomes your first target.

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious, as the path to this location is prone to ambushes by bandits. You can choose to use stealth to avoid them, engage in combat, or simply flee. These random bandits are typically not challenging, but it's frustrating to lose health before a quest that involves further combat.

Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains and can be easily overlooked. You must navigate through a small gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for a fight before entering, as you'll encounter several bandits along with Canker.

The bandits may attempt to flee depending on the order in which you engage them, but you need to ensure the majority are defeated. Canker, fortunately, does not run away, ensuring you can complete the quest by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot Canker's body to collect the Light Mace, which is essential for proving you've completed the task. Feel free to take any other items you find on him as well. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to officially complete the "Canker" quest.

Following the completion of "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can proceed with the next quest involving Gules' former bandit associates. After the day has passed, speak to Gules again to start the "Handsome Charlie" quest.
