"Guide to Obtaining and Fixing Shoes in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2"

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your shoes will eventually wear out to the point where you'll be left wandering barefoot unless you acquire new ones or repair your old ones. Understanding how to manage your footwear is crucial for a seamless gaming experience.

While you begin the game with a pair of shoes, you won't need to keep them throughout your journey. There are several ways to obtain new footwear. You can discover shoes in chests or loot them from poachers and other human enemies. However, if you prefer a more lawful approach, you can purchase them.

Tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, offer shoes, but these typically come with less impressive stats. For better quality shoes, seek out a cobbler. You can find a cobbler in Trosky early in the game, identified by a symbol on the map resembling three red pieces in a circle, as illustrated below.

When you visit a cobbler, you'll have access to a variety of items for purchase, not limited to just shoes. Cobbler Matthew, for instance, also sells horse items. Additionally, you can buy materials and both Blacksmith’s Kits and Cobbler’s Kits from him.

How to Repair Shoes

Just as with acquiring shoes, there are multiple ways to repair them. You can have your shoes fixed by cobblers or blacksmiths by selecting the repair option when interacting with them. This opens a menu where you choose the items to be repaired and view the repair costs. These costs may vary if you have taken perks in the Craftsmanship skill, which can offer discounts when NPCs repair your gear, be it shoes or armor.

Alternatively, you can repair your shoes yourself, though this depends on your Craftsmanship level. If your level is insufficient, you may not be able to repair your own shoes or other equipment. To attempt self-repair, you'll need a Cobbler’s Kit.

Cobbler’s Kits can be bought from various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths, and can also be found in chests or by looting NPCs. To use a Cobbler’s Kit, access your inventory, locate the kit, and press the interact button (which is "E" on PC). This action will display a menu showing damaged items that can be repaired with the kit. If an item appears faded, it means your skill level isn't high enough to repair it. Select the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to proceed with the repair.

This guide covers how to get and repair shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For repairing other gear besides shoes, use a Blacksmith’s Kit similarly. It's always beneficial to keep your equipment in good condition, so whether you repair items yourself or seek out a professional, maintaining your gear is key to a successful adventure.
