The new Hunger Games novel, *Sunrise on the Reaping*, is one of the most eagerly awaited book releases of 2025. This is hardly surprising given the immense popularity of the Hunger Games series, all of which have been adapted into blockbuster films. *Sunrise on the Reaping* is the fifth installment in the Hunger Games series, set approximately 40 years after *The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes* and 24 years before the events of the original Hunger Games novel.
