Metro Quester – Hack & Slash has just landed on Android, bringing a fresh twist to the classic KEMCO JRPG formula. This isn't your typical turn-based adventure; instead, it dives deep into the gritty, old-school dungeon crawler genre, promising a challenging and immersive experience.
In Metro Quester, you step into the shoes of scavengers on a mission to survive in a lost world. Your goal? To gather enough resources to meet your weekly food quota of 100, within seven in-game days. The journey takes you deep underground, exploring monster-infested ruins in areas like Otemachi and Ginza, searching for scraps to keep you going.
Survival isn't guaranteed; you must make it back to a camp to level up, using whatever you’ve scavenged. With 24 unique characters to choose from, spread across eight distinct classes, your approach to the game is highly customizable. From combo skills to weapon choices, your strategy is yours to craft.
Every move you make in combat is crucial, as each ability costs action points, and you're limited to five points per turn. With each ability usable only once per round, strategic planning is key to overcoming the challenges ahead.
The dungeons in Metro Quester unfold as you explore, revealing hidden food supplies, monster nests, keys to new areas, and potential campgrounds where you can establish a new base. The journey is unpredictable and fraught with danger, making every decision significant.
Visually, Metro Quester keeps things minimalistic with a bleak, colorless environment that starkly contrasts with your vibrant team. For a glimpse into this atmospheric world, check out the official trailer below.
Once you've conquered the main content, dive into the NEW GAME+ mode for an even tougher challenge, perfect for those who crave replayability with increased difficulty.
Metro Quester – Hack & Slash is now available for $14.99 on the Google Play Store for Android devices. Note that it does not support game controllers and is offered in English and Japanese. Don't miss out on this unique dungeon crawler experience—download it today!
