Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's phenomenal success continues, surpassing 2 million copies sold in under two weeks!

Warhorse Studios, the developer, celebrated this achievement on Twitter, echoing their earlier triumph when the game reached 1 million sales within a single day of its release.

This remarkable feat for the medieval RPG sequel, launched February 4th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, is truly impressive.

Last week, Embracer Group, Warhorse Studios' parent company, highlighted the game's exceptional performance on Steam, boasting over 250,000 peak concurrent players. This significantly eclipses the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 concurrent players seven years prior. The actual peak player count is likely even higher, considering the console releases, though precise figures remain unavailable from Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer lauded Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's initial success, emphasizing positive player and critical reception alongside strong sales. CEO Lars Wingefors attributed this to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence in the game's continued strong revenue generation over the coming years. He highlighted the game's quality, immersive experience, and broad appeal, further emphasizing Warhorse's robust roadmap of updates and new content planned for the next year.

The post-launch roadmap includes three expansions slated for 2025. Spring will see free updates introducing features like a barber shop for character customization, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer brings the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," focusing on protagonist Henry's assistance to a mysterious artist. Autumn delivers the "Legacy of the Forge" expansion, exploring Henry's adoptive father's past. Finally, winter concludes with "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
