A Marvel Rivals glitch disproportionately affects players with less powerful computers, turning the game into a "pay-to-win" experience where upgrading PC hardware, not in-game purchases, is key to success. The problem is that low FPS (frames per second) causes several heroes to move slower and inflict less damage.
This isn't a deliberate game mechanic, but a significant bug stemming from the Delta Time parameter—a crucial element in game design that ensures consistent gameplay regardless of frame rate. Fixing this will likely take time due to the complexity of Delta Time's role.
Confirmed affected heroes include Doctor Strange, Wolverine, Venom, Magik, and Star-Lord, experiencing reduced movement speed, jump height, and damage output. Other heroes may also be impacted. Until a fix arrives, improving FPS by lowering visual settings is the recommended workaround.
