Following the recent open beta conclusion of Mecha BREAK, developers are evaluating whether to grant players immediate access to all starting mechs. Discover how the development team is responding to community suggestions and potential adjustments being considered.
The multiplayer mech battle game Mecha BREAK wrapped up its Steam open beta on March 16th, gathering significant player input. During testing, the game peaked with over 300,000 concurrent players and currently ranks as Steam's 5th most wishlisted title.
Chinese studio Amazing Seasun is weighing several potential modifications, including altering how players obtain Break Strikers (mechs) and adjusting module systems for competitive 3v3 and 6v6 modes. While considering these changes, the team remains committed to their live service approach as crucial for the game's launch and long-term viability.
During beta testing, players began with just one unlockable Break Striker, needing to earn in-game currency through multiplayer matches to acquire additional mechs. With 12 total Break Strikers available, the current progression system requires considerable playtime to collect them all.
