If you're a fan of visual novels and looking to add something new to your "to-play" list, you're in for a treat. Erabit Studios' acclaimed Methods series has just released its fifth and final instalment, now available on the iOS App Store and Google Play. This latest entry promises to ramp up the intrigue and complexity as the series reaches its thrilling conclusion.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Methods pits 100 detectives against a group of criminal masterminds in a high-stakes competition. The detectives aim to solve the criminals' crimes, with a grand prize of $1 million at stake. For the winning detective, it's the opportunity of a lifetime, while the criminal gets a chance at parole, no matter the severity of their crimes.
Despite the serious premise, Methods takes a more lighthearted approach, featuring stylish artwork and visual flair reminiscent of titles like Danganronpa. The gameplay focuses on simple observation and answering multiple-choice questions as you navigate the crime scenes, making it accessible yet engaging.
Methods 5: The Last Stage marks the end of the saga, introducing the sixth and final stage where new challenges await. Alongside the main game, you can also dive into the new DLC, Methods: The Illusion Murders, for additional content. While the episodic format might not appeal to everyone, fans of the series are sure to be excited about how the story wraps up.
