Pokémon Go’s Small Yet Strong event brings your favourite tiny Pokémon to the forefront

by Samuel Feb 21,2025

The Pokémon Go "Small Yet Strong" event is bringing tiny but mighty Pokémon to your game! From February 5th to 8th, trainers can enjoy boosted XP, increased odds of finding extra-small (XXS) and extra-large (XXL) Pokémon, and the debut of Shiny Nymble. This event is perfect prep for the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour – Unova.

Double XP for catching Pokémon is just the beginning! You'll have a higher chance of encountering XXS and XXL Pokémon in the wild. Keep an eye out for regional Flabébé variants: Red Flower (Europe, Middle East, Africa), Blue Flower (Asia-Pacific), and Yellow Flower (Americas). White and Orange Flower Flabébé might also appear anywhere.

Wild encounters will feature increased spawns of Paras, Natu, Joltik, and various Burmy forms. Five-Star Raids will challenge you with Dialga and Enamorus (Incarnate Forme), while Mega Medicham and Mega Tyranitar dominate Mega Raids. Shiny Pokémon could be found in both raids and wild encounters.

2km Eggs will hatch Togepi, Azurill, Budew, and Dedenne. Field Research tasks reward encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Don't miss the event-exclusive Timed Research and Collection Challenge for Stardust, Poké Balls, and more event Pokémon. PokéStop Showcases will also highlight event Pokémon. Finally, prepare with supplies from the Pokémon Go Web Store. Get ready for some seriously small, but mighty, catches!
