The Pokémon Company has officially responded to the frustrations many fans have experienced in trying to obtain recent Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent statement, the company announced plans for reprints and a commitment to enhancing product availability for fans.

The launch of the latest Pokémon TCG set, Destined Rivals, was marred by supply shortages, pre-order issues, and the interference of scalpers. This problem has not been isolated to Destined Rivals alone; sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have also faced significant demand, making them challenging to acquire.

In a statement on the Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties fans are facing in purchasing certain Pokémon TCG products due to overwhelming demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity," the statement said. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers soon."

The company also pledged to "maximize production" for upcoming TCG expansions to ensure better product availability from the start. They will continue reprinting affected products to restock, including for the Pokémon Center.

Addressing the issue of scalpers indirectly, The Pokémon Company expressed its commitment to ensuring a seamless purchasing experience on the Pokémon Center. They currently utilize a virtual queue system for some products during high-traffic periods to prioritize fans. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated, thanking the community for their ongoing support and patience as they strive to improve the availability of Pokémon TCG products.

With these initiatives, The Pokémon Company aims to alleviate the stress and frustration associated with acquiring new Pokémon TCG sets, making the hobby more enjoyable for all fans.
