Rainbow Six Siege X is set to launch in June 2025, following a successful closed beta phase. This major update, touted by Ubisoft as the most substantial content revamp to date, will be available to both console and PC players. A key highlight of Siege X is the introduction of the Dual Front game mode, which pits teams in intense 6-on-6 battles. This mode features larger maps, requiring strategic coordination for attacking and defending different areas to complete objectives. Alongside the new mode, Siege X will bring revamped maps, a refreshed user interface, enhanced technical presentation, and a rebalanced matchmaking system designed to support newer players.

On March 13, 2025, Ubisoft unveiled a gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X to coincide with the start of its closed beta test. The trailer showcases the thrilling Dual Front mode and its expansive new map, highlighting the 6-on-6 gameplay. It also offers glimpses of the core game's enhancements, including technical upgrades, new gameplay features, and rewards for veteran players. Additionally, Siege X will offer free-to-play access, inviting new players to join the action.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta took place from March 13 to March 19, exclusively for select partner players streaming on Twitch. Viewers had the opportunity to earn access codes to the closed beta by watching these streams during the test period. To participate, players must link their Twitch account to their Ubisoft Connect account. Notably, ownership of the original Rainbow Six Siege is not required to join the Siege X closed beta.
