Marvel Rivals Season 1: Unlocking Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free in-game items, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. However, not all objects qualify.
Identifying Destructible Objects
To identify eligible objects, utilize Chrono Vision. Accessible via the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console), Chrono Vision highlights destructible items in red. Only these red-highlighted objects will trigger Recursive Destruction.
Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. After the match begins, focus on the initial objective (defending or attacking the Fantasticar). Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. You must wait for the first checkpoint. At this point, two buildings will appear, highlighted in red, ready to trigger Recursive Destruction.
During the match, locate and destroy these buildings. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but several hits should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. Once completed, move on to the subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
This concludes the guide on triggering Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals is available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
