Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the exciting details. Set to kick off on March 6th, 2025, this season promises new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and fresh monsters to hunt.

Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Even before Season 5 officially begins, players can enjoy a special treat with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This monster is making its grand debut ahead of its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. As the season officially launches, Glavenus and Arzuros will also join the fray, adding more variety to your hunts.

Weapons in Monster Hunter Now are set to receive balance tweaks to enhance the viability and fun of every weapon type. The Sword & Shield will benefit from a buff that makes it easier to target breakable parts like tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward well-timed taps with stronger performance, leading to more satisfying combos.

The Guard skill is also getting a significant boost. Previously, leveling up Guard barely made a difference, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce damage taken when blocking. More detailed tweaks will be unveiled in the full patch notes on March 6th.

If you've ever struggled with an overflowing inventory, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 has good news for you. An Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, granting you an additional 250 slots to manage your gear and resources more efficiently.

As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced. This feature allows you to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of awesome rewards. Expect to see items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
