The studio recently unveiled two exciting projects: Project Century, a new IP set in 1915 Japan, and a new Virtua Fighter project (distinct from the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O remaster). These large-scale projects highlight Sega's confidence in RGG Studio's capabilities and their shared commitment to pushing boundaries. Yokoyama credits Sega's culture, stating that the publisher actively seeks out opportunities beyond the safe bet, even accepting the possibility of failure. He points to the creation of Shenmue as an example of this risk-taking approach, born from the question, "What if we made 'VF' into an RPG?"

RGG Studio assures fans that the simultaneous development of these projects won't compromise quality, particularly regarding the Virtua Fighter franchise. Original Virtua Fighter creator Yu Suzuki has expressed his support for the new project, and the team, including producer Riichiro Yamada, is committed to delivering an innovative and engaging experience.

Yamada emphasizes the team's goal of creating something "cool and interesting" for a broad audience, regardless of prior familiarity with the series. Yokoyama echoes this sentiment, expressing his excitement for both upcoming titles. The projects showcase a collaborative spirit between Sega and RGG Studio, driven by a shared vision for innovation and a willingness to venture beyond established boundaries.
