Sizzlipede Debuts at Pokémon Go's Bug Out Event

by Nora Apr 17,2025

The much-anticipated Bug Out event is making a comeback in Pokémon Go, set to run from March 26th to 30th. This event promises an exciting lineup of Bug-type Pokémon, including the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolved form, Centiskorch. Get ready for a thrilling experience filled with wild encounters, raid battles, special bonuses, and fresh challenges that will keep you engaged throughout the event.

Lure Modules are your key to success during Bug Out. Not only will they draw Sizzlipede to your location, but if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module at a PokéStop, you'll see an increase in spawns. This event also offers double XP for Nice Throws or better, along with extra Candy and boosted Candy XL chances for trainers level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are higher during this event.

During Bug Out, the wild will be buzzing with Bug-type Pokémon such as Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might even spot the elusive Cutiefly.

Sizzlipede will headline one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Completing event-specific Field Research tasks will earn you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with featured Pokémon.

Don't miss out on the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. For those seeking additional rewards, a Paid Timed Research option is available for $2 (or local equivalent), offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, two Premium Battle Passes, and an extra Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges await, rewarding you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will feature event-themed Pokémon. Be sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out style.
