Top Arceus Ex Decks for Pokemon TCG Pocket

The God of all Pokemon, Arceus, has made an early entrance into *Pokemon TCG Pocket*, the digital card game, and it's not alone. Accompanied by a suite of Pokemon that synergize well with it, Arceus Ex is set to shake up the meta. Let's dive into the best Arceus Ex decks currently available in *Pokemon TCG Pocket*.

Best Arceus Ex Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Arceus Ex brings a formidable presence to the game with its ability to remain immune to status conditions such as Sleep and Confused. Its powerful Ultimate Force attack can deal 70 damage plus an additional 20 for each benched Pokemon, requiring just 3 Colorless energy. This means Arceus Ex can hit for a whopping 130 damage when fully powered up.

Arceus Ex also synergizes beautifully with eight different Pokemon from the Triumphant Light expansion pack. These Pokemon have a special "link" ability that activates when either Arceus Ex or a regular Arceus is in play:

  • Carnivine (Power Link)
  • Heatran (Speed Link)
  • Abomasnow (Vigor Link)
  • Raichu (Resilience Link)
  • Rotom (Speed Link)
  • Tyranitar (Power Link)
  • Crobat (Cunning Link)
  • Magnezone (Resilience Link)

Among these, Crobat, Magnezone, and Heatran stand out as the most potent allies. Let's explore an Arceus Ex deck centered around each.

Crobat (Dark Energy)

2x Arceus Ex
2x Zubat (Triumphant Light)
2x Golbat (Genetic Apex)
2x Crobat
1x Spiritomb
1x Farfetch’d
2x Professor’s Research
2x Dawn
2x Cyrus
2x Poke Ball
2x Pokemon Communication

This deck leverages two main attackers: Crobat and Arceus Ex. With Arceus Ex in play, Crobat can deal 30 damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon from the bench. Moreover, it can hit for 50 damage with just one Dark energy, making it an excellent companion to Arceus Ex, which you'll want to power up with three Colorless energies.

With Arceus Ex powered up on the bench, you can retreat Crobat into it for free, as Crobat has no retreat cost, enabling you to deal 130 damage if you have a full bench. Farfetch’d adds pressure, and Spiritomb spreads damage to your opponent's bench, setting up knockouts with Cyrus.

Dialga Ex/Magnezone (Metal Energy)

2x Arceus Ex
2x Dialga Ex
2x Magnemite (Triumphant Light)
2x Magneton (Genetic Apex)
1x Magnezone (Triumphant Light)
1x Magnezone (Genetic Apex)
1x Skarmory
2x Professor’s Research
2x Leaf
2x Giant’s Cape
1x Rocky Helmet
2x Poke Ball

In this deck, Arceus Ex is the primary attacker, supported by both versions of Magnezone. The Triumphant Light Magnezone reduces damage taken by 30 with Arceus Ex in play, while the Genetic Apex Magnezone can deal 110 damage if you've used Magneton's Volt Charge ability at least once before evolving. Note that the Genetic Apex Magneton cannot be powered by Metal energy as it's Electric type, so timing your evolution is key.

To maximize Arceus Ex's damage output, you'll need a full bench. Skarmory, along with 2x Giant’s Cape and a Rocky Helmet, helps your Dialga Ex and Arceus Ex withstand heavy hits while powering up Skarmory.

Heatran (Fire Energy)

2x Arceus Ex
2x Heatran (Triumphant Light)
2x Ponyta (Mythical Island)
2x Rapidash (Genetic Apex)
1x Farfetch’d
2x Professor’s Research
1x Blaine
1x Cyrus
1x Dawn
2x Giant’s Cape
2x Poke Ball
2x X Speed

This deck is a high-speed Fire type strategy reminiscent of the Ninetails Blaine deck. You'll aim to pressure your opponent early with Heatran, Rapidash, and Farfetch’d, which all require minimal energy to become active threats. Meanwhile, you'll be powering up your Arceus Ex on the bench. Giant’s Cape helps keep Heatran alive, pushing Arceus Ex's health above the crucial 150 HP mark.

With Arceus Ex in play, Heatran can retreat for free, allowing you to swap Pokemon with ease. Heatran's Ragin’ Fury attack deals 80 damage for two Fire energy if it's been damaged; otherwise, it hits for 40, which can still be significant in the early stages of a match.

As the meta evolves, new strategies involving Arceus Ex will undoubtedly emerge. For now, these decks offer the best ways to leverage the legendary Pokemon in *Pokemon TCG Pocket*.
