Torchlight: Infinite is set to dazzle with its upcoming Season 8: Sandlord, launching on April 17th. This season promises a major overhaul, bringing not just new content but a complete transformation of the gameplay experience in this beloved action RPG.

One of the highlights of Season 8 is the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, a new area featuring innovative economic gameplay mechanics. Here, players won't just be battling monsters; they'll be building and managing their own aerial empire. In the Cloud Oasis, you'll engage in trading resources, assigning workers, and overseeing production lines to establish your stronghold in the skies.

Returning this season is the character Thea, but with a fresh twist. Her new Blasphemer trait swaps her divine powers for a curse named Desecration. This curse begins modestly but grows significantly stronger, enhancing Erosion damage based on the depletion of her blessing power. Players can optimize this trait to unleash Area of Effect (AoE) explosions or health-scaling effects, making it an ideal choice for fans of damage-over-time mechanics and intricate build synergies.

Endgame content has also received a significant upgrade. Deep Space, a key feature of the game, has been completely revamped with five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now customize their risk and reward experience with the new Probes system. Each probe increases the challenge but also the potential for better loot, including the much-coveted Compass chests.

Season 8 introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, allowing players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This innovation opens up deeper build options for players. Additionally, a formidable new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to both Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.
