An NFT-Powered Arcade Shooter

As reported by Eurogamer, Ubisoft's latest release demands players use cryptocurrency for gameplay. The game expands the universe of the Netflix series, incorporating familiar Ubisoft IPs such as Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed.

Limited to 10,000 players, access is granted through the purchase of a digital Citizen ID Card NFT via Ubisoft's Magic Eden page for $25.63. This card tracks in-game achievements and rankings, evolving based on player performance. Players can even resell their IDs.

The full launch is scheduled for Q1 2025, with early access for those who secure an ID now.

A Blood Dragon Legacy

The game's setting mirrors the Netflix series, an animated spinoff of Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon DLC. Set in a dystopian 1992 where the US is a megacorporation-controlled technocracy, the series follows Dolph Laserhawk, a supersoldier turned rebel.

While Ubisoft remains tight-lipped about the game's storyline, players will assume the role of Eden citizens, influencing the narrative through mission completion, leaderboard rankings, and community interaction.
