Unlocking the Fire Seal: A Guide to Fields of Mistria

by Christopher May 21,2025

Following the exciting March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, you can now venture to unlock the Fire Seal after successfully clearing the previous altars. To do so, you'll need to gather four specific items for the offering: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain each item and ultimately unlock the Fire Seal.

Where to Find Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem, a rare artifact, is hidden within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure you're playing the latest version of the game and navigate through the mines until you reach Floors 50-59. Our team discovered this gem on Floor 56 after some dedicated digging. Like other artifacts, you can uncover it by using your pickaxe or shovel on marked spots on the ground. Given its rarity, you may need to spend considerable time searching these floors to secure one.

Rockroot, a more common mine forageable, can be found between Floors 50-59. If you're a frequent miner, chances are you've already encountered this item. Keep an eye out for a dark, root-like plant as shown in the image. Only one Rockroot is needed to fulfill the Priestess' altar requirement.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are the most accessible item among the offerings for the Fire Seal. These can be found in Emerald geodes on Floors 50-59 in the mines. They are quite common, making it relatively easy to gather what you need, especially if you've stored some previously. Alternatively, you can obtain Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them from Balor's Wagon for a modest 200 tesserae. If you've unlocked the new Stone Refinery in the March 2025 update, you also have the option to craft them yourself.

How to Get the Sealing Scroll in Fields of Mistria

The last item needed to break the Fire Seal is the Sealing Scroll, which is part of a quest initiated after meeting Juniper upon discovering the seal. To obtain the scroll, you'll need to enlist Balor's help. This assistance comes with a cost:

  • x10 Silver Ingots
  • x10 Rubies
  • x10 Sapphires
  • x10 Emeralds

If you're short on any of these, the mines are an excellent place to gather them. Once you've collected all the required items, deposit them in the bin by Balor's Wagon to secure your Sealing Scroll.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to offer these items. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and further content during the game's Early Access phase.

NOTE: *Fields of Mistria* is currently in Early Access, and its content is subject to change. The information provided is accurate as of Version 0.13.0 and will be updated as necessary if any changes occur.

*Fields of Mistria* is available to play now in Steam Early Access.
