Waven, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MMOs Dofus and Wakfu, has quietly launched globally! Now available on iOS and Google Play, Waven offers a fresh take on the series' signature strategic combat, with a greater emphasis on solo play.
Developed by the creators of Dofus and Wakfu, Waven is set within the same rich world, but introduces a brand-new, unexplored region. While welcoming newcomers, the game includes numerous nods to its predecessors for longtime fans to enjoy. The focus here is on a strategic, single-player PvE experience.
For those unfamiliar, Dofus and Wakfu are long-running MMORPGs with a dedicated fanbase. Though not as globally dominant as World of Warcraft, their impact is undeniable, spawning an acclaimed animated series and maintaining a strong presence since the early 2000s.
Subscribe to Pocket Gamer on Back to the wakWhile the understated global launch might seem unexpected, the Wakfu and Dofus series has always cultivated a dedicated, though often under-the-radar, following. This worldwide release is a welcome opportunity to broaden its international reach.
