Während des heutigen Nintendo Direct wurde bekannt, dass Koei Tecmo eine neue Ergänzung der Hyrule Warriors -Serie entwickelt: ein Vorläufer des Königreichs mit dem Titel Hyrule Warriors: Age of Inhaftment, das diesen Winter starten soll.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Inhaftierung bringt ein neues Kapitel in die Saga, das sich auf die Charaktere aus den alten Geschichtssegmenten der Tränen des Königreichs konzentriert. Dies schließt die vertrauten Gesichter von Zelda, Rauru, Sonia und den anderen geheimen Steinträgern ein.
