Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the powerful new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This price point makes it one of the most competitive options available for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the general price surge for RTX 50 series GPUs since their launch in January. At Dell, the next closest model with an RTX 5080 starts at over $4,000, making this offer particularly attractive. For those considering building their own PC, sourcing a standalone RTX 5080 GPU could cost as much as this fully equipped system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC boasts an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU paired with the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The cutting-edge Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, featuring 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's kept cool by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, while a 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply ensures the system runs smoothly.
The RTX 5080 is part of Nvidia's new Blackwell series, which has been highly sought after and difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "For those with recent high-end graphics cards, the RTX 5080 might not offer a significant enough upgrade over the RTX 4080. However, its performance and the benefits of DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation can enhance gameplay for those with older GPUs looking for a substantial boost, especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI features."

Alienware's new-for-2025 Area-51 system is now available for pre-order at Dell. This configuration features an upgraded Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 64GB of RAM, and a 4TB M.2 SSD, priced at $4,649.99 after an instant $400 discount. The CPU is cooled by a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and a massive 1,500W 80PLUS Platinum power supply powers the entire system. Dell anticipates delivery in early April.
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The updated chassis retains a design similar to the 2024 R16 but includes aesthetic and cooling enhancements. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel, eliminating side vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front, promoting a positive airflow design for a cleaner interior. The system also features a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs, including the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti, sold out within the first hour of preorders. The high demand has also affected prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs, resulting in stock shortages, price increases, and extended delivery times.
