Cyberpunk 2077, the celebrated sci-fi action RPG from CD Projekt Red (CDPR), has pushed back what is widely considered to be its definitive final major update. Initially scheduled for launch on June 26th, CDPR recently announced that the development team requires additional time to finalize an update with a comparable scope to the substantial Update 2.2.

Following the official announcement, Global Community Director Marcin Momot addressed the community on Twitter (X), expressing his apologies for the postponement and thanking players for their continued support.

"It appears we're going to need a bit more time for this one. Sorry for the delay and thank you all for your patience!" Momot stated.

Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko also commented on Update 2.3, explaining that the extra development time is being used to meticulously polish and refine the new features being introduced.

"It needs a little more time in the oven, my chooms," Sasko wrote. "We're making sure everything is executed properly and polished for you. Sending much love, and thank you for your incredible passion for our game—it is a tremendous source of motivation and inspiration for us."
