For streaming games outside your home, a very stable and fast internet connection is essential. Remember, the PS Portal isn't a standalone device; it requires a PS5 to operate.

Update: You no longer need a PS5 to enjoy games on the PS Portal. Sony has introduced a feature allowing owners to stream games directly from PlayStation Now cloud streaming service. This means you can access over 120 games, including titles like Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil 3 Remake, The Last of Us Part 1 Remastered, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, without a PS5.
