Sony has announced an exciting lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were revealed in a recent PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers starting April 1, until the next update on May 5.
The April lineup offers something for every type of gamer. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, is a first-person shooter that immerses players in the iconic role of Alex Murphy as he battles to save Detroit. A significant update in January of the previous year added a New Game Plus mode, enhancing the replay value. Our review at launch awarded it a 7/10, highlighting its faithful recreation of the '80s atmosphere.
For those seeking a thrilling multiplayer experience, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media provides an asymmetrical horror game where players can either survive or hunt as part of the Slaughter Family. It's intense and not for the faint-hearted, simulating the terror of facing Leatherface's chainsaw. Our initial review gave it a 6/10, noting its technical challenges but also its potential for fun.
Lastly, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco offers a more relaxed pace with its turn-based gameplay and expansive digital world. Players can collect over 320 Digimon and explore a new perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth story.
As these new titles join the PlayStation Plus catalog, don't forget to download the current March 2025 titles—Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection—before they expire on March 31. This is a great opportunity for subscribers and potential new members to enrich their gaming libraries.
