Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. The test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test. Registration is currently open.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly focusing on cross-play functionality, a significant undertaking for a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale, and are inviting players to participate in testing. Players are encouraged to register and invite friends or join groups on the Larian Studios Discord server for cooperative cross-play testing.

Although Patch 8 is the game's final major update, Larian intends to continue supporting the modding community with substantial future updates. These updates will enhance modding tools, empowering players to create and share their own content. Since the release of official mod tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
