The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once a consistent stream of new titles. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham series, in particular, revolutionized superhero gaming, setting a high bar that continues to influence the genre.
But lately, Batman has been noticeably absent from the spotlight. A truly standalone Batman game hasn't been released since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's no immediate indication of that changing. While comic book fans have plenty of exciting superhero games on the horizon, those craving a Batman experience might need to delve into the back catalog to find the best titles.
