Known Habitats: Ruins of Wyveria Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, Legs Recommended Elemental Attack: Water Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-) Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod

Taming Ebony Odogaron's Speed

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most frustrating trait. Stunning it is key to survival. Utilize nearby Flashflies or craft Flash Pods to temporarily immobilize it.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Fighting Ebony Odogaron solo is difficult. Send out SOS flares to recruit fellow hunters. If no one joins, NPCs provide valuable support, acting as a buffer while you focus on dodging.

Environmental Advantages

Utilize the environment! In specific areas, you can knock down Entangled Rocks with your slinger to stun the monster (once per fight). Combine this with Pitfall and Shock Traps for additional immobilization opportunities.

Dealing with Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron inflicts Dragonblight, hindering your elemental and status effect damage. Carry Nulberries to cure this, or equip decorations with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance.

Paralysis: Your Best Friend

Paralysis is highly effective against Ebony Odogaron. This status effect significantly reduces its mobility, creating windows for increased damage. Ideally, paralyze it while it's near roots for added entanglement.

Strategic Targeting

Ebony Odogaron's head is its primary weak point (3-star weakness). However, targeting the forelegs and tail offers safer, albeit less damaging, alternatives, allowing you to break limbs.
