Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams

Get ready, Zombies fans! Treyarch has just announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to receive an exciting new map for its round-based survival mode. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Mansion map and what it means for your gameplay experience.

Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map

No Amalgams Here

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its Zombies mode with the introduction of a brand new map, marking it as the fifth addition to the game's roster. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty X (Twitter) account and further confirmed by Treyarch Studio’s X (Twitter) on March 12, 2025. The teaser image showcased the front of a grand mansion, showing signs of intense battle with visible damage on its walls, flaming army car wreckage, and ominous plumes of black smoke rising from within.

The post was captioned with "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" accompanied by a "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a beloved character with a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to make a return in this Black Ops 6 remake. Fans have quickly identified the setting as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, aligning seamlessly with the timeline from the previous Zombies map, The Tomb.

Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams

One of the most intriguing aspects of this new map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies. Treyarch made this clear on their Instagram account in response to a fan's comment about expecting to face these tough foes. Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, will not be part of the Mansion map, promising a potentially smoother and less intense survival experience for players.
