Marvel Rivals has unveiled the first official artwork of the hero Blade as part of the game's Midnight Features event quests. As Season 1 progresses, players are diving into new maps, a fresh game mode, and a battle pass packed with exciting cosmetics.
To participate in the Midnight Features quests, players can navigate to the Season section in the game's menu. These quests are divided into five chapters, each containing three tasks. By completing these special quests, players can earn valuable rewards such as Chrono Tokens, Units, and a complimentary Thor skin in Marvel Rivals. Although some challenges are currently time-locked, all five chapters of the event will be fully accessible by January 17.
A highlight of Chapter 3's rewards is a Gallery Card depicting Season 1's antagonist, Dracula, battling the hero Blade. While rumors about Blade's inclusion in Marvel Rivals have circulated since his character model was discovered in the game's files, this marks the first official confirmation from NetEase Games. The Season 1 storyline reveals that Dracula has strategically removed Blade and Doctor Strange from the battlefield, viewing them as significant threats to his plans.
The inclusion of Blade in the game's artwork has sparked speculation among fans that he might become a playable character in Season 2. Many believe Season 1 will conclude with The Fantastic Four thwarting Dracula's plans to save New York City, Blade, and Doctor Strange. Discussions among players center on Blade's potential role, with a consensus leaning towards him being a formidable Duelist. Leaks suggest Blade will feature a transformation ability in Marvel Rivals, similar to the ultimate abilities of Magik and Hulk, enhancing his strength, altering his attacks, and granting him the ability to see through walls.
Blade isn't the only character rumored for an upcoming release. Ultron's complete ability set was leaked during Season 0, hinting at his possible introduction as a Strategist. This role would allow him to provide healing and support to allies on the battlefield. Although initial leaks suggested Ultron might debut in Season 1, the release of The Fantastic Four seems to have altered NetEase Games' plans. While leaks often prove accurate, they should be treated as rumors until officially confirmed. With an abundance of new content on the horizon, the future of Marvel Rivals looks promising to its eager fanbase.
