Activision's official Call of Duty podcast has confirmed the upcoming beta test for Black Ops 6, launching next month. Here's everything you need to know to participate.

Two-Phase Beta Access

The Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta will unfold in two stages:

• Early Access (August 30th - September 4th): Available to those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass plans.
• Open Beta (September 6th - 9th): Free for everyone to experience.

Mark your calendars! The full game launches October 25th, 2024, on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

New Game Mechanics and Features

Treyarch's associate director of design, Matt Scronce, revealed exciting details on the podcast:

• Extensive Multiplayer: Black Ops 6 will boast 16 multiplayer maps at launch – 12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
• Zombies Return: The popular Zombies mode is back, featuring two brand-new maps.
• Omnimovement: A new movement mechanic will add a fresh dynamic to gameplay.
• Scorestreak System Revival: The classic scorestreak system returns, resetting upon player elimination.
• Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: A dedicated slot for melee weapons eliminates the need to sacrifice a secondary weapon.
