In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, while monsters typically roam the wild, they occasionally threaten villages. One such threat is the rampaging Alpha Doshaguma, and dealing with this beast is a challenge you'll need to master.

Known Habitats: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts: Tail, Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attack: Fire, Lightning
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Despite its colossal size, Doshaguma is remarkably agile, capable of leaping and dashing across the battlefield. This agility can make it challenging for melee weapon users to land hits. However, you can gain a crucial advantage by deploying a Flash Pod. This tool temporarily blinds the monster, providing a window to attack or even mount its back for a more direct assault.
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is a strategic move. Its forelegs are particularly vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness. While its back legs are less effective with a 2-star weakness, they are still a viable target. Don't overlook the head, which also has a 3-star weakness, offering significant damage potential. If you're aiming to break parts for extra rewards, consider attacking the tail as well, though it won't deal as much damage.
When facing Doshaguma, leveraging fire and lightning elements can significantly enhance your combat effectiveness. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, while others can enhance their weapons with fire-related decorations. For optimal impact, target the head and torso with fire, and focus exclusively on the head with lightning.
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a status ailment that can lead to an explosion if not managed. To counteract this, use Nulberries or Deodorant to cure the effect. Alternatively, dodge-rolling three times can also dispel the ailment, helping you stay in the fight longer.
While direct combat is thrilling, don't ignore the environmental advantages. The areas where Doshaguma roams often feature natural traps. To utilize these, you must first sheath your weapon and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before activating it. This strategic use of the environment can give you the upper hand in battle.

Instead of killing Doshaguma, you might opt to capture it alive in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. To do this, you must first weaken the monster, reducing its HP to 20 percent or less. Once it's on the brink, set a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path. If the monster isn't focused on you, use Luring Ammo or place meat to draw it in. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers until it falls asleep, ensuring a successful capture.
That's all you need to know about hunting and capturing Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Remember to prepare by eating a hearty meal for food buffs before confronting this formidable foe.
