by Finn Mar 24,2025

Curious about Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a fresh addition to the game, allowing you to craft custom pieces with almost any stats and elements you desire. But keep in mind, they're a feature you'll unlock in the late game. Let's dive into the essentials of Artian weapons and how to get them.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Weapons

Unlocking the ability to craft Artian weapons begins after you complete the main storyline and reach High Rank. You'll need to push forward until you conquer your first Tempered monster, which you'll recognize by its intimidating appearance and the NPCs' comments about its toughness and scars.

After defeating this formidable foe, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, initiating a tutorial that explains the crafting process. Each weapon type requires three components, and you'll need at least one of each to create a weapon. But it's more intricate than that.

Components come with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, the components must share the same rarity value. The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the majority element among the components; for example, two water and one lightning component will yield a water weapon, while three water components will enhance the water infusion. If you mix three different elements, you won't get any elemental infusion.

The Artian bonus can enhance either your attack or affinity. Attack increases your weapon's damage output, while affinity boosts your critical hit chance. Your choice depends on your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank areas. Once you've defeated your first Tempered monster, you'll typically find one or two roaming each area. You'll receive notifications about their presence, and they're easily identifiable on the map with a blue outline.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster rewards you with Artian parts, which you can find among the decorations in your mission rewards. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also rise, progressing naturally with your gameplay. While there's no direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops, focus on the ones you enjoy fighting or those that provide parts for other weapons or armor.
