To equip your torch, access your inventory. First, equip a pouch. Then, select the torch and equip it. Exiting the inventory, hold down the D-pad (consoles) to activate the torch. PC players should press the R key. A red shield icon next to the torch in your inventory confirms it's equipped. Remember, torches have a limited burn time, so carry spares. Note that you can only wield a torch with a one-handed weapon; two-handed weapons or shields are incompatible.
