by Madison Jan 26,2025

Quick Links

Marvel SNAP's initial Spotlight Cache card for 2025, Victoria Hand, is an Ongoing character that enhances cards generated within your hand. While often considered a core component of card-generation decks, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard decks as well. This guide presents two effective deck builds for Victoria Hand, one for each archetype, to help you integrate her into the current SNAP meta.

Victoria Hand (2–3)

Ongoing: Cards created in your hand gain +2 Power.

Series: Five (Ultra Rare)

Season: Dark Avengers

Release: January 7, 2025

The Best Deck for Victoria Hand

A card-generation deck featuring Devil Dinosaur is ideally suited for Victoria Hand. For optimal synergy, combine this duo with: Quinjet, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Cosmo, The Collector, Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl.

Iron Patriot, Mystique, and Speed can substitute for Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Frigga.

Victoria Hand Deck Synergies

  • Victoria Hand boosts cards added to your hand by card generators.
  • Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl are your card generators. (Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards for added buffs or disruption.)
  • Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards.
  • The Collector's power increases with each generated card.
  • Cosmo is a tech card, protecting Devil Dino and Victoria Hand from attacks.
  • Devil Dinosaur is your win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or with numerous generated cards in hand.

Reports suggest Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or those that change locations. Whether this is a bug or intended behavior remains unclear. If not a bug, the card text requires clarification. Regardless, this is a factor to consider when using Victoria Hand decks.

Effective Victoria Hand Gameplay

When playing a Victoria Hand deck:

  1. Balance card generation and energy management: Aim for a full hand for Devil Dinosaur, but also maintain space for card generation and Victoria's effect. Efficient energy use is crucial; sometimes skipping turns to maintain a full hand is more important than filling the board.
  2. Use joker cards strategically: Victoria Hand decks generate many random cards. Use these strategically to mislead your opponent.
  3. Protect your Ongoing lane: Opponents often target Victoria Hand with tech cards. Play Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand in the same lane and protect them with Cosmo.

Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand

Victoria Hand is also effective in discard decks. Pair her with: Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.

Countering Victoria Hand

Super Skrull is an effective counter. Doctor Doom 2099 decks, which Skrull synergizes with, also provide a strong counter.

Other counters include Shadow King (removes buffs from one lane) and Enchantress (removes all Ongoing effects). Valkyrie can disrupt power distribution in key lanes.

Is Victoria Hand a Valuable Acquisition?

Victoria Hand is a worthwhile card. Whether acquired through the Spotlight Cache or Tokens, she offers strong value. While somewhat reliant on RNG, her permanent buffs enable consistent deck building. Her effectiveness in card-generation and discard archetypes makes her a valuable asset for many players.
