Rest and Recuperation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Sleep is paramount in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a crucial method of restoring health without relying solely on consumables. This guide details how and where to find a place to rest.

Securing a Bed

Early in the game, acquiring your own bed is vital. Progressing through either the blacksmith (Radovan) or miller (Kreyzl) questline, during the "Wedding Crashers" quest, will grant you access to a bed. Radovan's location in Tachov offers a closer proximity to your starting point. Completing his smithing tutorial unlocks the adjacent room, containing a bed and a chest for storage. This bed will be marked on your map.

Utilizing Campsites

When immediate access to your bed isn't feasible, numerous campsites scattered throughout the game world provide alternative sleeping locations. While some may be occupied by bandits, requiring prior engagement, others offer undisturbed rest. These campsites are marked on the map, allowing interaction with bedrolls for sleep. Note that the comfort level is lower than a proper bed, but sufficient for health regeneration.

Sleeping in NPCs' beds is a last resort, as it risks alerting guards if discovered and not successfully resolved through dialogue.
