Fans of the adult animated sitcom Solar Opposites will have to prepare for an emotional farewell, as Hulu confirmed today that the show's upcoming sixth season will be its last. The final season is slated to premiere sometime within the last three months of 2025, marking the end of an era for the beloved series.

The announcement of Season 6 came in mid-2024, but it was only recently disclosed that this would be the concluding chapter of Solar Opposites. Since its debut in 2020, the show has followed the humorous and often chaotic journey of an alien family stranded on Earth after their home planet's destruction.

Created by Star Trek: Lower Decks mastermind Mike McMahan and Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, Solar Opposites has carved out a unique space in the world of animated comedy. However, in 2023, Roiland faced significant challenges when he was charged with domestic violence. Although the charges were later dropped, Roiland was removed from the series. Fortunately, the show found a seamless transition with English actor Dan Stevens stepping in as the lead voice actor, ensuring the series could continue its narrative without missing a beat.
