Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateStellar Blade's recent update, Patch 1.009, introducing a highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately, also brought some critical bugs. This article details the issues and the developer's response.

Stellar Blade Update Introduces Game-Breaking Glitches

Hotfix in Development

The update caused significant problems for players. A main quest in an early dungeon has resulted in softlocks for some, preventing progression. Others report crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie function, and issues with new cosmetic items rendering incorrectly on Eve.

Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the patch to prevent permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdatePatch 1.009 delivers substantial content beyond the bug fixes. The NieR: Automata collaboration is a highlight, reflecting the mutual inspiration between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive items are available via Emil, a NieR character who has established a shop within Stellar Blade's world.

The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.

To complement the Photo Mode, Eve receives four new outfits and a new accessory (post-game completion) altering Tachy Mode's appearance. A "No Ponytail" option has also been added for increased customization. Additional improvements include lip-sync support for six more languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
