Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their beloved sandbox game, *Teardown*. They've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and responding to fan demand. Alongside this, they're launching the *Folkrace DLC*, which promises to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players will have the opportunity to engage in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to dominate the tracks.
The multiplayer feature will first be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on input from the modding community, as they will release updates to the game’s API. This will enable modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer use, enhancing the game's community-driven content.
This announcement marks a significant milestone for *Teardown*, as multiplayer has been a highly requested feature. At launch, players can access the multiplayer mode through the "Experimental" branch on Steam. Simultaneously, the team will ensure that existing mods can function in multiplayer environments by providing API updates. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a core feature of the game.
Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has revealed that two more major DLCs are in development, with further details to be announced later in 2025. This ongoing commitment to expanding *Teardown* demonstrates the developers' dedication to enhancing the gaming experience for their community.
