New Match Types:

Bloodline Rules: Reflecting the 2024 dominance of The Bloodline (even featured on the cover!), these matches are anything goes—no disqualifications, win by pin or submission. Expect plenty of interference, weapons, and chaotic referee shenanigans.

Intergender Matches: Finally! Men's and women's superstars clash in this highly anticipated addition.

Underground Matches: A brutal blend of pro wrestling and MMA. The ropes are removed, and other superstars encircle the ring to keep the fight contained. Initially seen on Raw, these matches now thrive in NXT.

WWE 2K25 brings back a massive roster of classic match types, offering diverse options with varying wrestler counts and rules:

Standard Rules (Pin or Submission Victory):

  • One on One, Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way, 6-Way, 8-Way
  • Tag Team: 2 on 2, 2 on 2 Mixed Tag, 2 on 2 Tornado Tag, 3 on 3, 3 on 3 Tornado Tag, 4 on 4, 4-Way Tornado Tag
  • Tag Team (Handicap): 1 on 2 Tag, 1 on 2 Tornado Tag, 1 on 3 Tag, 2 on 3 Tag

Specialty Matches:

  • Ambulance Match, Casket Match (1 on 1 only): Close your opponent in the vehicle to win.
  • Backstage Brawl: Fight anywhere backstage, in the NXT parking lot, or WWE Archives (1 on 1, 2 on 2, Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way, 6-Way, 8-Way, Handicap - 1 on 2)
  • Battle Royal: Last one standing wins (Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way, 6-Way, 8-Way)
  • Elimination Chamber (6-Way only): Random superstar entries, elimination-style.
  • Extreme Rules: No countouts or disqualifications, weapons encouraged (1 on 1, 2 on 2, Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way)
  • Falls Count Anywhere: Pin or submission anywhere in the arena (1 on 1, Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way)
  • Gauntlet, Gauntlet Eliminator, Gauntlet Turmoil (4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 20, 30 entrants)
  • Hell in a Cell: Win by pin, submission, or escaping the cage (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, Triple Threat, Triple Threat Tornado Tag, Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way, 6-Way)
  • Iron Man Match (1 on 1 only): Endurance match with most pins winning.
  • Ladder Match: Grab the object above the ring to win (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, Triple Threat, Triple Threat Tornado Tag, 4 on 4, Fatal 4-Way, 4-Way Tornado Tag, 5-Way, 6-Way, 8-Way)
  • Last Man Standing (1 on 1 only): Knock down your opponent for a 10-count.
  • No Holds Barred (1 on 1 only): Anything goes.
  • Royal Rumble (10-Man, 20-Man, 30-Man): Massive battle royale with staggered entries.
  • Steel Cage: Win by pin, submission, or escaping the cage (1 on 1, 2 on 2, Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way)
  • Submission Match (1 on 1 only): Tap out to lose.
  • Table Match: Put your opponent through a table (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, Triple Threat, Triple Threat Tornado Tag, Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way)
  • Tables, Ladders, and Chairs: A chaotic mix of TLC action (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, Triple Threat, Triple Threat Tornado Tag, Fatal 4-Way, 5-Way)
