Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

by Jonathan May 06,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an unbeatable deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This is one of the most competitive prices you'll find for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the upward trend in pricing since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other comparable prebuilt system with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering a DIY build, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; the cost could rival that of this entire system.

Update: Dell, like many other manufacturers, has been impacted by recent tariffs. Given the ongoing stock challenges with Blackwell cards, prices on Alienware gaming desktops featuring RTX 50 series GPUs are anticipated to increase soon.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU and a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, complemented by 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, boasting 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell series, which has been notoriously difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the upgrade you're looking for – its performance edge over the RTX 4080 is minimal, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial release of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to hit the market, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs are also in short supply, either sold out, increased in price, or facing extended delivery times.
