Attention all music lovers: Spotify, the popular music streaming service, experienced an outage starting around 6 a.m. PT today. According to Downdetector, reports of the issue have been pouring in continuously. Many users, including ourselves at IGN, faced difficulties accessing the service throughout the morning. Even when we managed to open the app, it refused to play any music.
Spotify has officially acknowledged the problem and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. They have also debunked rumors suggesting that the outage was caused by a security hack, confirming these reports to be false.
