by Nova May 02,2025

Elliot Page, star of the original PlayStation and Quantic Dream game Beyond: Two Souls, is bringing the story-driven adventure to the small screen through his production company, Pageboy Productions. According to Deadline, Pageboy has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to adapt the game into a television series. The project is still in its early stages, but the team aims to maintain the game's signature non-linear storytelling. Specifics such as casting and release dates are yet to be disclosed.

Reflecting on his experience, Page described filming Beyond: Two Souls as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. He expressed enthusiasm about translating the game's "rich narrative and emotional depth" into a series that would appeal to both fans and newcomers alike.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, emphasized the team's commitment to "honoring the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives." He highlighted the importance of exploring themes such as survival and the impact of split-second decisions on multiple lives.

Beyond: Two Souls initially debuted on PlayStation 3 in 2013, later expanding to PlayStation 4 in 2015 and PC in 2019. Directed and written by Quantic Dream’s David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities linked to a spirit named Aiden. The game's non-linear narrative and the presence of renowned actors like Page and Willem Dafoe contributed to its acclaim.

David Cage expressed excitement about collaborating with Page again on the TV adaptation, praising Page's performance in the game and his potential to bring a unique vision to the television series. Cage acknowledged the game's significance to its global fanbase and expressed confidence in Page's ability to create something special for TV.
